On The Job Training. – Energy Reduction Technician

Energy Reduction Technician are responsible for the Dismantling, Cleaning, and Reassembling of the HVAC units to be tested for the basic function of HVAC tune up.  Their job is to see that HVAC Units are cleaned and operationally ready for testing and functional checks. An Energy Reduction Technician will notify the necessary specialists if and when an issue or a malfunction is detected.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Dismantle, clean, and reassemble HVAC units for basic function testing and tune-up.

Ensure HVAC units are cleaned and operationally ready for testing and functional checks.

Notify necessary specialists of any detected issues or malfunctions.

Remove and replace thermostats as required.

Set up and tear down cleaning equipment daily.

Account for all cleaning tools and equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.

Be willing to travel as needed for job functions.

Take before and after photos of all units cleaned and share with the Site Supervisor by the end of each shift.

Manage time clock responsibilities, including clocking in and out for lunch.

Be flexible to handle any job and unique requirements that may arise.

Submit all required documentation from an M3 ADMIN in a timely manner.

Meet all training requirements within a predetermined time frame.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of high school or equivalent (GED).

Normal color vision.

Ability to climb ladders and work outdoors in inclement weather.

Must acquire basic tools within the first 60 days of employment.

Reliable transportation.

 

Additional Training and Qualifications:

Must test and pass for EPA 608 Certification before the 90-day employment mark (company covers the cost of the test).

Must attend and pass the HVAC tune-up class within the first 30 days of employment.

Expected growth position timeframe is 6 months to 1 year.
