The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is a budgetary document for the MPO, which lists all tasks and activities¬† staff will perform throughout the fiscal year, including any associated expenses. The MPO is required by federal statute to develop and maintain a UPWP every year. The UPWP is typically updated beginning in February/March and is typically adopted in May. The UPWP utilizes a Fiscal Year (FY) beginning July 1st and ending June 30th. The most recent UPWP’s can be found below.

In addition to the UPWP, MPO’s are required to compile a list of activities and expenses that were expended or completed from the previous UPWP. This list is known as the Annual Performance and Expenditure Report (APER). The APER is a reconciliation on the activities and expenses, after the fiscal year has come to a close. This document is typically completed in September of each year. The most recent APER’s can be found below.
