  • Hot Springs Downtown Comprehensive Development Strategy

On Tuesday, November 15th, 2016, the City of Hot Springs Board of Directors unanimously approved the Hot Springs Parking, Pedestrian and Bicycle Enhancement Plan.   This plan was prepared by national economic development consulting firm Thomas P. Miller and Associates as an addendum to the City of Hot Springs Downtown Economic Development & Redevlopment Action Plan.  This document takes an in depth look at parking and pedestrian issues that were identified by the comprehensive development plan completed in 2015.

The City of Hot Springs, the Hot Springs Metro Partnership and West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District collaborated  to create a comprehensive redevelopment strategy for downtown that will consider current economic development conditions and build new strategies for downtown Hot Springs. This implementation will lay the foundation for Hot Springs to fuel the economy for downtown businesses and residents to thrive, ultimately improving our regional competitiveness and advancing the region's economic prosperity.
