  • 2018 CEDS Update for Public Review & Survey

    In order to qualify for federal funding assistance, all economic development projects must conform to the CEDS. The CEDS for the District's ten county region was originally prepared for WCAPDD and is updated and maintained by District staff. The updated report is submitted annually to the Economic Development Administration for review and approval.

    Survey for 2019 CEDS 

    The Districts Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy CEDS 5 year update is coming due. In order to complete this new plan we need your help by completing the CEDS Survey. This CEDs directly benefits your area. If you have any questions in regards to the CEDS or the survey please contact Vicki Anderson The CEDS document is a requirement of the Economic Development Administration EDA and is our districts roadmap toward the future.

  • NEW Economic Development Website Available

    The newly created web portal ( for regional economic development is online now.  The site is an effort by the  eight Arkansas economic development districts and the Arkansas Institute for Economic Advancement, Arkansas Association of Counties and the Arkansas Municipal League to create a source of economic development data for Arkansas.  The portal provides a single site with comprehensive demographic data for all cities and counties in the State of Arkansas.


West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District

West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc. (WCAPDD) was originally established as one of eight economic development districts in the State of Arkansas and incorporated in 1967. WCAPDD exists for the purpose of improving and enhancing the social and economic well-being of the people in our ten county region.As a not-for-profit economic development corporation, the WCAPDD provides its member cities and counties with technical assistance to obtain funding for public improvement projects, including infrastructure such as water, wastewater and industrial park improvements, that will directly create jobs in our ten-county region.  We also assist our members with community development projects, such as parks and senior citizen's centers, to improve the quality of life for citizens in our service area.
